Responsibilities
The Chief Engineer oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of all ship machinery and systems, leads the engine department crew, ensures compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations, manages fuel efficiency and spare parts, maintains engine room records, and responds to machinery and engine room emergencies.
